Claerwen Dam
Claerwen Dam holds almost as much water as the combined total of the Elan Valley dams.
It took six years to build, using a workforce of 470, and was opened by the newly crowned
Queen Elizabeth on 23rd October 1952.

Length – 355 metres
Total capacity – 48,300,300,000 litres
